Be willing to partner with our organization, providing a required minimum of 350 - 500 sweat equity hours

bullet

Attend budget counseling and understand the financial responsibilities of home ownership

If approved, partners must provide a down-payment and sweat equity hours.  If all requirements are sustained, at the completion of the home, we will sell it to the new partner at no profit, typically using a no-interest 20-year mortgage held by HfHUC.  HfHUC maintains a graduated schedule for transferring the equity (market value) in the home over that 20-year period.

Applications are available only at annual orientation sessions which will be announced.  You may leave your name and address with our office voice-mail to receive notification of the orientation.  Our last orientation session was held June 20, 2007.

We are building an average of two to three homes per year in our area, making "patience" a requirement as well!
